random acts of kindness

Have you ever done something really nice for someone else? Has someone done such a thing for you? I want to celebrate that. I want to celebrate nice things.

I love receiving random acts of kindness. I love people who do kind things for others. I love giving out niceness. I love going out of my way to make someone smile.

This blog will include anything in these categories. Please submit stories about acts you’ve done or received (anonymously or not), things you want to do for others, ideas for random acts of kindness, tales of friendship, and anything else you can think of!

please note that this blog will be as safe a space as possible. we will fight any discrimination based on gender identity, sexuality, body type, nationality, skin colour, culture, appearance, language, age, ability, neurological type, class status or anything else. bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated. if any material on this blog is offensive to you, please message me and we will attempt to create a safer space for all.
honestly, sometimes this is the best thing you can do for someone. Isn’t it the best feeling ever when you can do something nice for someone? I like to give that feeling away. If a friend wants to help me, I let them. If someone compliments me, I’m usually super awkward about it, but I tend to thank them warmly and cheerfully, even if I don’t see what they see. If a friend is worried about me, I let them in. I let them be my friend. Don’t be an island unto yourself, always giving. Receive, too. It could be the nicest thing you ever do for anyone.

My Aunty is actually REALLY cute!

ivegotsongsinmyblood:

I mentioned, briefly, on Christmas Day I’d really like to read The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons and she just sent them to me.

This is an elderly woman on her pension, who really does not have enough money to look after herself let alone do things like this.

Her spontaneous kindness has really made my day <3

Thank you, Aunty Mary, love you lots! x

hardly-wisdom:

On Wendy and I’s Etsy store, we sell dream catchers and we do not charge shipping. I had an order on December 17th, with a note asking if it was possible to get it there before Christmas. I told her I would do my best, and the next day at the post office, I paid a little extra for overnight…
